LIBERAL ARTS-COMMERCE

The Liberal Arts-Commerce program is a five-year double degree-diploma in both the liberal arts and the business administration programs. Students may choose to specialize in Communication and Marketing, Economics and Accountancy, Economics and Banking and Finance, Economics and Entrepreneurship, Economics and Marketing, and Psychology and Entrepreneurship.
The program provides excellent preparation for careers in business, private entrepreneurship, corporate finance, research, marketing, banking and finance and human resources management.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE

BS BIOLOGY
The BS Biology program is a four-year degree program designed to prepare students for work in research, the academe, and the biomedical and pharmaceutical industries.
The course requires the individual to be more inquiring and critical to meet the challenges of a dynamically changing environment and prepares graduates for employment in the biomedical, research and manufacturing, and pharmaceutical and health services industries.
BS ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
The growing threat of environmental disaster was the motivation behind the offering of the BS Environmental Science program. In this program students are taught how to appreciate the importance of sound environmental programs through courses in environmental science and statistics, water and water pollution, environmental ecology, computer modeling and simulation, environmental impact assessment, environmental health and safety, environmental policy and law.
Students are required to conduct independent research relevant to their discipline that they will report and defend before a panel of experts to prepare them for careers in community planning, research and consultancy, government service, and industry.
BS PSYCHOLOGY
The BS Psychology program prepares the student for the study of individual and group behavior and mental processes. The program includes such courses as human development, personality, experimental psychology, social psychology, psychological testing, abnormal psychology, learning and cognition, group dynamics, Filipino psychology, industrial psychology, physiological psychology, statistics (with computer application), and current issues.
To ensure a holistic training, students are required to undergo a practicum program in the clinical, school and industrial settings. The student is required to undertake independent research work, document, and defend it orally before a panel of experts prior to graduation. Career opportunities are in counseling, testing and evaluation, the academe, human resources development, management and labor relations.
BS PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
A course in public administration prepares the students for a career in the public service. The program trains students in the in-depth study of administrative thought and institutions, management of organizations, office and systems management, public fiscal administration, public policy and program administration, policy analysis, public accounting and budgeting, administrative law, techniques in personnel management, program and project development, local government and regional administration, politics and administration and ethics and accountability in the public service.
Students are encouraged to take a hard look at the theories of servant leadership even as they are trained to focus on ethics and accountability in the public service for a career in the public service, research and human resources planning.

AB BROADCASTING
The broadcasting program empowers students to engage in careers in the contemporary broadcasting industry in any of the following fields: disc jockeying, radio and television broadcasting and production, call centers, advertising and journalism, image and sound production, documentaries and film making and studies.
The course work consists of four core subjects, twelve major subjects and four electives, aside from the 63-unit general education courses, that aim to develop critical thinking and rational decision making among graduates.
AB COMMUNICATION
The program equips students with the knowledge, skills and values necessary in journalism, advertising, film and television production, education, social work, film and social service where communication skills are needed.
Students undergo practicum training on radio, television, and film where they learn practical skills, among others, to think critically for themselves, and to seek out the hidden meaning in information. They are also trained to help enlighten public opinion on contemporary issues.
AB ECONOMICS
The program empowers students to have a focused understanding of the workings of the economy, the roles of business and finance, the process of economic development, and the globalization of trade and other international economic relationships. The curriculum consists of five required subjects with a predominant mathematics thrust and eight major subjects on the areas of macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, mathematical economics, economic development, public economics, international economics and economics research, including seven elective subjects in any of the following areas: monetary economics, international finance, international trade, environmental economics, agricultural economics, project evaluation, labor economics, history of economic thought, and managerial economics.
The program prepares students for a number of career options in banking and finance, research and management information system, investment houses, management, entrepreneurship, corporate finance and public service.
AB ENGLISH LANGUAGE
The program trains students to be competent in the multidisciplinary arena of communication. The career opportunities available for the graduates of the program are in advertising, journalism, film and television production, politics, human resource, textbook production, and similar careers where an understanding of communication is critical.
Students are trained to express themselves in written and oral English to transform individuals capable of articulating and interpreting thoughts, processes and events.
AB LITERATURE
The program comprises of five required subjects in literary theory and criticism, literary history, the tradition of poetry, and fiction, and literary research and fifteen major subjects in expository writing, writing for print media, linguistics, contemporary, world and children's literatures, as well as the drama in English. Students may choose two electives in any of the following: modern poetry, drama, novel or criticism, popular literature, women's literature, gay literature, Philippine ethnic literatures, literature of protest, Latin American, Southeast Asian, African, European or British literatures.
The program emphasizes the study of theoretical and critical approaches in the analysis of literary genres. Graduates are eventually absorbed in creative work in industry and the academe and in training and development.
AB MATHEMATICS
The program has been designed to hone students' analytic ability and critical thinking skills. It provides a solid foundation in the application of mathematics in statistics, operation research, and forecasting.
Those who wish to specialize in mathematics prepare themselves for career options in teaching, engineering, trend setting and forecasting, mathematical sciences, and research.
AB POLITICAL SCIENCE
The program gives the students a chance to study human interrelationships from the point of view of individual interactions and that of the international, political and economic spheres. Students can expect to gain employment in local governments, government, nongovernment and peoples' organizations, international agencies, academic and research organizations, and social welfare agencies.
AB ASSOCIATE IN ARTES
The Associate in Arts curriculum is primarily designed for students who anticipate to transfer to a four-year program to complete work for a baccalaureate degree. The program features a basic. Balanced liberal arts exposure, incorporating global and Philippine studies perspectives, and allowing access to computer literacy. The curriculum serves the needs of those planning to major in disciplines within the humanities or social sciences and provides a vital foundation as preparation for a wide variety of career goals.
